| Charles Dickens Museum Cornice Restoration Project in May 2008 The curator of the charles dickens museum contacted us to undertake the stripping and restoring of the hallway cornice in May 2008. Below is a testimonial from the curator. Dr Florian Schweizer Curator "Following a thorough tender and selection process, Jason Jewell was appointed to clean and restore the cornice in the entrance area and hallway of the Charles Dickens Museum in Bloomsbury , a Grade 1-listed property from 1801. Prior to commencing the job, Jason explained in detail the proposed procedures of cleaning and minor repairs the historic cornice and established a schedule of work, which is essential for a public venue open seven days a week. The work was carried out in stages to reduce disruption to the museum's |

operations. The transformation of the cornice from an obscure, unidentifiable mass of paint to an elegant and refined design was extraordinary, thanks to Jason’s expertise and sheer hard work. The work was completed according to schedule, including finishing touches and clearing the Museum . Apart from the quality of the work, we were impressed by the professionalism of Jason and his team and their politeness towards the public. We would be happy to recommend Jason’s services – results can be viewed at the Charles Dickens Museum , 48 Doughty Street , London , WC1N 2LX ." |
